Rest Easy Footrest

I have a 2010 Adventurer 35Z with a Rest Easy Sofa. I cannot extend the footrest. It is stuck in place solid. The lever that you grab to extend is now swinging free. I’m assuming it was attached to the cable that I can see, so when you pull it it releases the footrest. Any ideas how I can release the foot rest? Any ideas on who works on these things. Thanks for any info or help you can provide.

Here are some pictures of my Rest Easy that may help. See if you can lift up the front edge of the seat cushion, as shown in my picture (below). Hopefully that will give you enough access to work on things.

One of my two footrests is also inopp also but we never use ours. In fact, I’m thinking of mounting them down to the floor somehow. They are one of the worst noise generators we have when driving as they rock and bounce on rough roads. There are all kinds of jangle bits under there.
