replacing wood in the bed over cab

Hello, we recently purchased a 2001 minnie 22R and of course it has water damage .I am redoing the bed and am surprised at the lack of info from the winnibago company.while taking away the rotten wood,
I am wondering what support there is beside the plywood planks. Seems as if the front nose should drop.
Just wondering if anyone had this problem and what fix they used.
The minnie is very clean and based on the chevy chassis with 30 k miles.Just put six new Michelins, so I m hoping it s not money thrown away!
