Removing bulb from ceiling fixture - Itasca
Can anyone tell me how to remove the bulb from this receptacle in the ceiling of my 2014 Itasca Ellipse? I have twisted, tugged, pried, yanked, cursed, and everything else I could think of short of breaking it.
I hope the picture sows up on the attachment, if not, the receptacle is elliptical, attached through a soft ceiling, has a round part in the middle with a "wing" on the edge, that allows the middle part to rotate. It has a flat lens and appears to have a halogen bulb.

OMG. I thought it was just me...my 13 Tour has the same monitor lamp.
I was lucky. The first time it burned out I tapped it with my index finger. It lasted another year!
It's out for good now. Waiting on a reply from one of our seasoned pros.

This is what mine looks like with the cover and swivel out. As you can see, mine got very hot. I can't remember exactly how it came apart. Probably replacing the bulb. The outside ring pops off. It still works but I rarely use it. I have replaced all my other bulbs with LED. I want to replace this fixture with an LED type.

Thanks! It appears to just turn about a third of a turn in the three slots. Maybe I was just not using enough muscle.

Removing bulb from ceiling fixture - Itasca
Thanks for the photo. I just replaced my bulb.
Take a small-medium sized flat bladed screwdriver. Work your way around the base until you release the 3 clips holding the trim ring in place. It's pretty solid so don't fear cracking the bezel.
Then, remove the 2 screws and replace the bulb from behind.
Reinstall in reverse order.
Happy wife again
The arrows point to where the tiny 1/32" clips are.

Does anyone know how to remove the LED ceiling fixtures in a 2014 Tour? I want to clean the one above the monitor compartment. It looks like some water got into it.

Once you get the bulb out replace it with a flat led the original bulb in that fixture is a fire hazard it burns much too hot to leave on for more that a few seconds. Better yet remove the fixture place in on your work bench and smash it with a heavy hammer then get a different fixture.

I think the picture in the earlier post shows what you need to know. I was getting water in many of my fixtures in humid, cool weather. When I started to remove the fixtures I found that the insulation didn't go to the fiberglass roof in these places. I used some Great Foam to fill the voids. No more problems.
I am glad this topic came up. I, too, need to get that fixture down and put a LED in there.

Mine are the factory LED units, not the incandescent units. They do not look like the pictures. Do you pull them down or twist?

Thanks to everyone that tried to help. Mine is just a little different and I still can't get it off. Going to the shop for something else in a couple of weeks. I'll have them show me.
