Rear slide doesn't stay tight to coach.

Recently, my rear slide-out creeps out by itself. It doesn't come all the way out...just two or three inches at the bottom only. Does anyone know an easy adjustment or fix for this problem?

Assuming htdraulic slides, the retract solenoid for that slide is likely the cause. Replacement would be the cure. Normally not hard to do once you find the solenoids & figure out which one it is.

It is equipped with hydraulic levelers so I assume that the slides are hydraulic also. Are the solenoids pretty easy to change out?

Easy to change ...they screw in and have a wire or two to connect. As I recall cost is $70-$80. Access to them, and figuring out which one to change is the biggest challenge. HWH manual should provide some help. I also have one I need to replace.

Before you replace it, you might try this flushing procedure that was given to me by Frank @ HWH. I used it once about 6 years ago and it worked. I just started getting the same symptoms again about 6 months ago and flushed it again - and it worked again. Hopefully, it's good for another 6 years...

Start with the room fully retracted

Open Room #2 extend solenoid (you'll hear a "whoosh" - don't open more than 4.5 turns or you'll damage the solenoid)

Fully extend room

Close solenoid

Retract room

You may need to repeat a time or two. I didn't - it worked the first time.

If you don't have the manual or can't locate the solenoid, please reply and I'll give you more details.

The rear bedroom slide on my 06, gas Itasca is electric. The other 2 are hydraulic. Are you sure your rear slide is hydraulic?

Before you replace, read the instructions for room retraction that came in your Info Case. It states that once the room comes in, continue holding the retract button for an additional 5 to 10 seconds, then release it. That procedure allows the pressures to equalize and may stop your problem altogether. It certainly did mine when I had the same issue.
