Probably not wired to run on generator power. How big is the generator? I suspect the factory only wired the front AC to be powered from the generator. Otherwise they would have to install a 6KW generator.

OP says: "My rear air worked for years on the gen now it will not run on the generator not even the fan." I don't think the wiring somehow changed overnight!

First check the generator to see if one of the breakers is tripped. You should have both a 20 and a 30 amp breaker on the gen set itself. Next, with the power disconnected, open up your transfer switch box and check all the connections. Sounds like one leg of your power is not there or not transferring.

I had the same issue with my new Journey Express. First, the dealer replaced the converter, then the thermostat. Finally they replaced the entire A/C/Heat Pump unit and now it works. I hope you don't have to replace your entire unit but that is what it took to make mine work on generator power. Like yours, it always worked fine on shore power.

I cannot find any thrown breakers how does the generator tie in to the electrical system and where is this connection. the gen will operater every other system except the rear air and the rear air work ok on shor power so I know the rear air is ok. could it be the little board in the power line control thingy that limits you to 30 amps?

Did you check the two breakers that are on the generator? Most times I found the breaker on the gen. was thrown.
