Rain on the roof is usually relaxing to us as well. Although we were in Rockport, Texas last year and had 14 inches of rain in a 24 hr period. The sound at times made it hard to hear anything. The following morning the campground had quite abit of water all over.
The pond was almost dry when we arrived there. That morning it was over-flowing with so much water.

Noise to some may be relaxing to others -- I enjoy the rain beating down on our roof. Reminds me of my grandparents house with the tin roof, taking a nap in a barn hay loft during a storm, and the hooches we had in Vietnam. for bringing back the memories.

Yeh Tom,

Been there done that. We just got back from a week in Fayetteville, Arkansas and they got 3-5 inches of rain in about 30 minutes right at bed time. We had to hold our hands over our ears the noise was so loud, and forget watching or hearing any TV. Wasn't much better on the last two Fleetwoods with rubber roofs and you should have heard the metal roof on our Hitchhiker 5th wheel, like a couple of skeletons playing tag.

These RVs must not have enough insulation on top to amount to anything.

Hi Folks,
Rain on the roof of an Rv makes a lot of noise. Hail and ice storms are even worse. As Harry said "If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the Kitchen." Suck it up. If you can't stand the noise from the roof of your RV during a storm, STAY HOME.
