Pull Strap for Exterior Awning

Tried to pull down the awning over my bedroom windows today and the strap broke off at the slot where it fits in the awning body. It's the black fabric strap, about 44 inches long, with a loop on the end to pull the awning down.

I have had to repair loops on these type straps before, but not the awning end.

There has to be a replacement available somewhere. Don't see one in the WB catalog of parts unless I'm missing it.

Anybody else had this problem?

Thanks.

I was able to get one at C.W. Didn't have it on the floor but did have it at the parts counter. Would also think you should be able to get one from awning company. As I recall I had to drill out the pop rivets in order to slide it into the slot.

If it is still long enough, fold the end over enough times and sew another end on it.

It broke on the OTHER end, where it attaches to the awning.

Thanks to those who recommended Camping World.

As has already been stated, you can get them at Camping World and I would suspect that most RV dealers would carry them too. On my previous coach I broke the strap and sewed it together. I was a Camping World for some unrelated purchase and happen to ask the clerk about the straps. He said they had them and took me to the isle that had them on display.

I know that; I can read. I was talking about folding over about 1/4" and sewing it like a hem.
