When I first got my MH, I had a lot of problems blowing the thermal fuse. I was installing the new ones just like the originals. That apparently was the problem. A tech at the Winnebago factory installed one and it's been working for the last 6 years with no further problem. He told me that they need to be installed with the bend to the left as you look at the heater. My original was bent to the right, placing it directly over the burner.
