We love our new coach, and, besides the usual couple of things that always go wrong in a new moho, there is only one real complaint that I have, and that is the roll-top part of the computer desk. Has anyone else had this and/or had a problem with it? OUrs sticks, doesn't roll up or down. We had 2 dealers tell us they couldn't do anything to help, now one has ordered us a new one to try to fix the problem. I'd rather have a door, matching the other cabinet doors on our washed maple cabinets.
Any ideas, dealings with Winnebago on this one?

Had the same problem. Use a good coat of Pledge on it.

On ocassion, something on the shelf will shift, blocking the travel of the door. You can access the shelf area by removing the top drawer.

Our's rolled right out onto the floor once!! ...the metal stops at the bottom were loose and turned, allowing the whole thing to come out.

Recently it has been very difficult to open. I thought it was stuff catching on the back of the shelf, but that doesn't seem to be the real problem on ours. It needs to be lubed. I've thought of trying a bar of soap or wax ...using some kind of spray sounds like a good idea since it needs to be inside the narrow channel.

Had the same problem. Actually Johnson furniture paste wax works wonders. Just rub it in the track. Used it also on our sliding dinette table to make it easier to insert the leaf.

Had the same problem--Check to be sure it is not binding in the track edge. If not, lube with pure silicon along both edges of the track. Worked wonders on ours and havn't had a problem in the last six months.

We have a Heathkit roll top desk in our home and we use bees wax to lubricate the tambour. Works very well and lasts.

Thanks, we actually had a dealer measure our rolltop, finally, and found out it is too narrow, so it pulls off the track every time it moves. If we stay in one place long enough, they can install a new one for us. Now, where to stay for a while. Sounds like we our similar to you in lifestyle. We're in North Carolina through the holidays, then to Florida. Maybe we can meet somewhere?
