Passenger Seat Arm Rest

Who makes the passenger seat on the 2015 Winnebago Vista 36Y? Our arm rest is at a strange angle and we would like to adjust it but there is no adjustment lever. We took off the cover and can't find anything?

Has anyone done this?

Thanks

According to the Winnebago brochure your model should have come with adjustable arm rests. If you look on page 3-1 of the owners manual there's a picture of an arm rest in the upright position. There should be a roller on the bottom of the arm rest that adjusts the angle to the seat back. We have the same style on our Adventurer and they seem to work quite well. They have a wide angle of adjustment, so if it's a long way from where you want it you may have to make several turns on the roller.

Had same issue with our sightseer. What is shown on the brochure MAY be on your unit at their whim.

Our solution, we complained to the dealer who offered to provide the adjustable armrests for 50% off...and $350 later we had one set of arms for the passengers side.

I complained vigorously about the brochure, but it looks like they prefer the slight of hand method to their marketing....Jim

I followed the
Front captains chairs/bed
thread and that solved our problems. Why can't Winnie publish this info in their manual?

Still no answer from Winnie on my email.

Speaking about what is in the brochure. Our Vista was mfgd. in June of 2014, brochure shows color coordinated awning. What we got was a piece of white nylon(looks like nylon). We hate it. I really think there should be an errata sheet that is handed out with the brochures to say where Winnebago removed/changed from the brochure.

We have found that there are occasions when the brochures not only inaccurate they're not even in the ball park. In 2013 we decided to replace our 2001 Adventurer with a 2013 Adventurer of the same size. We got the 2013 brochures from the dealer and started making decisions.

We were about half way through the process when we decided to go online to see if any dealers had what we wanted in stock. The first couple dealers we went visited online had models equipped close to what we wanted but not an exact match. The third dealer we visited online had a completely different looking motorhome advertised as a 2013 model.

As it turned out Winnebago changed the design half way through the model year. Motorhomes built before October 1 2013 looked like the 2012 models. Those built after October 1 look like the 2014 models.

When I enquired as to why they didn't publish a new brochure the answer was "we only print one brochure per model year, any changes made during the model year are considered running changes and are not reflected in the publications". I was referred to page 20 of the 2013 brochure which has the following statement:

Winnebago Industries’® continuing program of product improvement
makes specifications, equipment, model availability, and prices subject to
change without notice. Comparisons to other motor homes are based on
the most recent information available at printing.

Just found this post so may be late with response. I asked dame question on our 2012 30T. Was told by Winnebago could not adjust. Some other 30t owners could so go figure.

Our 04 Sightseer could be adjusted by pitting armrest in up position, pushing in at the pivot point and lowering it. Took a while to get the feel of getting it to release but did go down to a lowere position.

Tried it on the 30T and they did drop down to a lower position that is more comfy for us. Only two positions though up and down but very helpful. Also has to be done whenever you pull armrest up for seat belt etc
The more you do it the easier it becomes
Good luck
