overhead cabinet doors 27REOK

I want to add two cabinet doors 22"x10" above the dinette table and couch. There is a space already framed for a door. Does anyone know where I can order the same doors as the ones in my rig. THX

You might contact Winnebago and ask if they have any current or past doors with those dimensions. When visiting the Winnebago plant in Iowa our tour guide proudly mentioned that they keep the plans and tooling for making replacements for nearly all parts for coaches past and present.

That said, the original doors in the cabinet over the bed in our Minnie Winnie opened side to side in such a way as to make loading them more problematic than it should be. My plan was to eliminate a 6" stationary panel at each side of the cabinet and get new and larger doors that were hinged at the top.

Winnebago said they could make a couple doors that size but it would cost over $400. I checked with a couple local cabinet makers who said they could make them for a little over $100 each. All a lot more than we willing to pay.

Since I do have some woodworking tools and skills I chose to make the doors myself. Turned out pretty good if I may say so myself, except that the cherry stain I used was a couple shades too dark. I reused the original hinges and got some of the same spring loaded door supports used in the cabinets above the dinette. Almost looks factory made!

The Mrs was very happy that the cabinets are now much easier to load, so the old saying more than applies: happy wife, happy life!!!
