No power to inverter

We have a 2108DS trailer. Power isn’t getting past the battery, although everything works on shore power. Battery switch is on. I hit the reset in the box under the frame, button does not seem to reset. Has anyone else encountered this? Solutions?
Thanks,
Geoff

Does the 2108DS come with an inverter? I think you are thinking of the Converter. Two very different things. And since everything works on shore power then the Converter is working fine.

Are you saying that you can't power any 12v appliances via the battery?

The obvious first thing to check is the connections to the battery and the state of charge of the battery.

Please start again and give us a complete run down of what the issue is and what you've already done besides pushing the power reset button under the A-Frame.

Power

Sorry, converter. Battery is fully powered, checked with meter. Battery powers the jack, nothing else. As I said, interior battery kill switch is off, but no power from the battery is going to anything in the trailer. Tried resetting the breaker underneath, but it doesn’t seem to reset.

Did you check for 12 volts in and out of the the resettable breaker?

Re: power

That I didn’t do. Between that minuscule button, and the ACB(?) breaker on the outside of the box, I didn’t know where to put the meter. I’ll post a pic of it tomorrow.

Thanks,
Geoff

Geoff, I know you said nothing works off the battery except the jack, just to confirm, you did try opening and closing the slide with the battery?

Power

I did try the slide. I have a separate button on the switch panel for slide power. It doesn’t light.

Geoff, if you have no battery power to the slide then it would lead me to believe the next thing to check is the resettable breaker.

Here's some links that may help you figure out what your dealing with. "tinglett" (Todd) started a thread documenting the 12 volt wiring for his 2108DS. He provided great information about how Micro Minnie's are wired. Here is a link to the most recent version of his wiring diagram and the most recent annotated version of the junction box on the a-frame.

Fred,
It’s always the simple things. I checked the cable again on the positive pole going into the breaker box. Lead was loose. Cleaned it, reattached it, voila! All good!

Thanks,
Geoff

Geoff, Good to hear it was something simple.

Take care,
Fred
