motor and rod replacement (loft bed) on a Winnebago Itasca Viva 23b

Good morning everyone - the motor and rod on my loft bed has broken. I have received the parts and it looks fairly simple (i am not handy) does anyone have any tips or advice that I may not foresee in doing this job? A picture of the motor and rod is below. Thanks as always Winnie owners - you have been very helpful in previous "cries of help". Andy C.
