. Not where mine failed. I feel for you.

The welder should be able to remove the stud from the yoke for proper surface prep. Make certain he removes the ground leads from the batteries before doing any welding.
With the slide supported, you should be able to pull the rack out and leave the yoke in place for easier access. Remove the end cover body panel to gain access to the end plate adjuster for removal.

Can't find a good picture at this moment. Weld the bolt back in place. I suggest threading a nut on it to weld to. You might upgrade the bolt to a grade 8.

Vertical adjustment bolts broken update

A mobil welder (Fury Metalworks - Ennis Montana) welded the broken bolts today. Excellent service and repair. The slide works as it should and did not have to be realigned. Can't say enough good about Fury Metalworks, excellent repair, reasonable cost, arrived when he said, etc etc! I've attached some photos of the welds.

Nice job. A good welder is as valuable as gold in a case like this. Now, the $64,000???? Why did it break? Are the studs carrying equal weight? Or, did the frame chafe the bolt and weaken it?

2007 Winnebago voyage full wall slide problems.

So I just got through removing my slide hangers by going through the floor, grinding off the top of the welded bolts and placing new half-inch bolts in with lock nuts to secure them. Now my only problem is the inner slider must have wheels on the inside or something but I can’t see it, it still makes a crackling noise when I open it and close it even though all the outside bolts are good.

FWIW, I was told that welding was the ONLY option short of removing the entire slide box and replacing the bolts with better quality bolts.[/QUOTE]

If they are replaced have them use the black bolts. They are much stronger and hard. The fasteners we are importing today aren't worth their salt.
