Looking for half a ladder ...yep half

I have an odd request.... the photo shows the rear of my 1993 Winnebago Sunrise as it was when the previous owner had it. He removed the bottom half of the ladder and unfortunately didn't keep it. I am looking to replace the missing part. I don't want to replace the whole ladder because my roof is in amazing condition and I just don't want to mess with removing the old ladder. I know I can order a new one, even Costco sells them.
Can anyone suggest where I could order the bottom half. I have written to Winnebago with no luck or reply.

Can you order a whole new one and just use the bottom 1/2? As a second plan you could make a lower 1/2 with hooks to hang on the upper 1/2 and secure the bottom to the bumper with caribiners and eye bolts. Then it could easily be removed

That looks line a pretty standard ladder. I have the lower half of mine (2003 Journey) that I don't use (or even carry with us). Where are you? I'll ask DW if I can give it away.

I assume you have holes where the bottom part used to screw in. If so, he likely sawed off the tubes to make it shorter. If true, that doesn't bode well for just putting it back together.
As an aside, my unit has an extension that hangs onto the last rung, and adds a couple feet of length when I want to climb up there. One of those might give you what you want, or at least make it better. There are motorhome wrecking yards, and I doubt such are in high demand.

One of the Surco RV Ladder Extension may fit your need. You really want whatever you use to hook onto the steps of the existing ladder which transfers the load to the roof mounts since the standoff brackets on their own are not very good at supporting the weight loaded on the ladder. I would believe that the longer of the two would be the most appropriate.

The ladder on my 2004 Itasca Sunrise is very similar and came with a lower ladder extension, which is listed as Winnebago part number 130163-07-01A in the parts catalog.

I have one of the hanging extensions but I never use it. A small collapsible ladder is much more convenient if you have the storage room. Mine is a small Gorilla ladder.
