Lockable door next to entrance door

Newbie here with a question. i just purchased a 2002 Adventurer 35U and there is a lockable door next to the entrance door that when opened says water. Is this the same as the water fill that I have at the water fill station? I can't find anything in the books that explain what it is. Thanks in advance for your help.

I had a 01 35 u Chieftain. Great MH, many good memories. That is a water fill. It goes directly into the water tank.

As clifftall said.
I have a 2000 Adventurer 35U and you can fill the tank directly from this portal in addition to the filling station on the opposit side. I typically use this side as my hose on my house is the same side as the entry door.

If you have good water pressure and are filling by turning the service bay valve, I have found that opening the door you asked about provides extra air venting which will help keep the tank from swelling.

They are all correct you can fill your tank with a garden hose, you will notice if you overfill the tank, that is where the water will pour out

That is the "gravity fill" water fill door. It is the only way to get water in if you have to pour out of a water container of some type. When boondocking I fill through that door with a 12 volt DC pump I bought at Harbor Freight. I also carry a funnel for puring in directly.

Good point. I also open the cap as well to avoid expanding the tank. Also, this is where I pour in bleach when it's time to sanitize.
