Leaky power steering pump

I have a very slow leak (drip) coming from my power steering pump.

Ours is a 2018, bought in July 2019– in fact I have one day to my one year anniversary.

I calculate the unit sitting so long caused the seal to harden, but that’s just a guess.

I thought driving it for the last year might actually help the seal, but alas, it still drips. I mean so slowly that the fluid level has not appreciably gone down.

What would you do?

Check the warranty on the chassis. You may be covered.
Get it to a dealership for your chassis manufacturer, and have it diagnosed.
Get it fixed.
Steering is important.

It’s probably under the FORD warranty, you’re most likely correct. But what about just adding some stop leak? It barely drips...

First, I don't know that there is stop lead designed for PS fluid.

Second, why would you not just get it fixed if it's covered under warranty?

Thanks.

There are actually quite a few brands of stop leak for the PS pumps.

Like I said, it’s such a small leak, that after a year, the fluid level is still within the middle of the range. Perhaps they put too much in and that’s what leaked out?

All I know, is if I take it in under warranty, I won’t see it again for perhaps months.

What Ford dealer keeps a motorhome for months to do a simple warranty repair on a power steering pump? Are there any Ford Truck dealers near you? Call them.

I guess the question then becomes, what Ford dealer will work on an RV (near me). We’ll see...thanks for the suggestion...

There are Ford Truck dealers. They probably could service your RV.
