Keyless Entry key pad

My SCS/Fregette (sp) keyless entry system on my 2005 Horizon quit working. I'm aware that the the company who manufactured the unit went out of business and parts are no longer available.
I would like to look at the internal parts of the key pad in hopes that I might be able to fix something. The question is: how do you remove the key pad?
Since the key pad no longer lights up, maybe there's no power to the key pad. Any thoughts about that?

Ralph A;

The key pad on my Horizon quit working just like yours has. I removed the key pad and found a loose connection on the plug. I used some dielectric grease and put it back on and it workes fine. Hope this helps.

The two half-round end covers of the keypad come off (I forget whether they slide or snap off). Under those you will find screws at each end which secure it to the coach.

Chris,
Thanks for the tip. In the past I was told to pry the whole keypad off and that didn't make much sense. You are correct, the two end caps slide off. However it didn't do me much good since the keypad itself is a sealed unit.

Yes, it's a sealed unit, but if it no longer works there's no harm in opening it up to see if it's fixable inside...

Ralph;

Did you check the plug that connects the pad to the wiring? Mine quit working and when I had the pad off I cleaned the contacts and put some dielectric grease on the connections. It worked after that.
