Key Blanks

For a 2005 Itasca 35U on a Dec 2004 W22 gas chassis

Can someone who has had compartment, deadlock and ignition keys made locally on non-Trimark and Non- Workhorse blanks please tell me the blank manufacturer and his code number.

I just got a extra key made for the ignition but it does not fit in the ignition assembly because the 'handle' does not fit within teh ears on teh ignition assembly

There are no Workhorse or Winni dealers in my home province

Thanks

Preston

You can get replacement keys from online Winnie dealers by supplying your VIN. I got a set from Lichtsinn already cut and ready to go.

I don't have a Workhorse ignition key, but the compartment key blanks were Chicago Lock and Ilco. Got all my keys made locally.

Though I can not help you with the blank number I can tell you that a Dremel (TM) Hand grinder or it's equivlent can easily machine down that head so it fits, takes just a few minutes if you are used to doing that kind of thing.

Very useful tool.

WARNING however.. IF you have an electronic lock/key this might not work as the electronic keys have electronics in the head.. I do not have that kind of lock on my Workhorse. I do not know if Workhorse offers that kind of lock.

GM (And Ford) do on some cars.. But I do not know if it's offered on the Workhorse chassis.

Thanks for your replies folks

Dan's key numbers are exactly what I needed - I will contact the locksmith in the area with the largest key selection who apparently has Trimark blanks

If it is a workhorse-(chevy) chassis then U can go to a Chevy dealership for the ignition key. Same as Ford. I Got my tri mark blanks from OCEAN Lakes Campground in Myrtle Beach SC. They cut them right there at the store.

prsmith,

The spares I had made were:

Ignition: ilco P1109 B92
Door: ilco 1621 TM13
Compartment ; 1622 TM14
Fuel Door ; ilco 1609 TM9

You may have to hunt around for a key shop that carries them.

Finally got my spares made up - found a Hardware store that is also the regional supplier for Ilco Blanks

eadbolt ILCO 1622/TM14
Compartments/driver's door/non-deadbolt lock in main door ILCO 1621/TM13
WH Ignition ILCO P1107 B89

There seems to be variety of the Ignition key - probably it has to do with the size of the key head

In any case, thanks to everyone who responded - you were great help to me

Preston
