Intermittent slide malfunction
After searching for related threads, I'd like the forum's wisdom and knowledge on my slide problem. If there has been a discussion of this problem, I'd appreciate being directed to it.
Occasionally, when pressing the extend or retract button for my slides nothing happens. Several pushes so far have activated the slide. My unit (see below) has two switches for the front slide, one in the galley area and one on the dash, and one for the bedroom slide located in the hall near the bedroom. To date, the dash switch has always functioned but both of the others have been fussy. I have checked the Winny site for the wiring diagrams and the HWH site for their information. I appear to have the HWH 625 series system.
I would appreciate any experience as well as help with the following specific questions.
1. How does one remove these switches for testing? There are no retaining screws so do they snap out of the wall?
2. Where are the solenoids and pumps located? Are they part of the same system for the leveling jacks and fluid tank at the front right near the steps?
3. Where is the electrical junction connecting the six switch wires to the chassis system?
It is my intent to check the wires and junctions and the grounds for the system sometime in the next week so any advice, especially on the locations of these systems, will be very helpful. I have replaced all of the leveling jack sensor wires after squirrels chewed them up so I have some experience under the rig. That is something (damaged wiring) I need to check on for this issue!

Had a similar problem. Called HWH. Found out I needed a new control panel.
Call Hwh first.

Yes, the jacks and the slides use the same pump and reservoir. Have you checked the fluid level? If it is a bit low you may not get the slide out.

JT,
Do you have the slide locks where you just push a rocker switch to lock/unlock?
I do, and on my small slide I was having the problem you are having. I finally got it to work in the unlock position and now I just leave it unlocked. The brake on the motors hold it closed. Only in a very high side wind would I lock it again. The micro switch in the slide lock mechanism is most likely my culprit.
Just a thought.

slide switch
Hellow, Mine has been like that for years. Seems to happen when M/H has been sittings for a lone time. I go out and push the buttons once in a while and that seems to keep them working. Don

I am considering that. Maybe after I check out some simple things. When I had the squirrel problems they diagnosed that as a control panel fault but that didn't prove out.

Thanks. Yes, I've checked the fluid when doing a major servicing a couple months ago.

To the best of my knowledge, the 625 series doesn't have such a lock system. None of the documentation mentions it and I've seen nothing like that during the five years I've used it. Thanks.

I think I'll give your method a try. Sure seems easy and I like easy first.

try to extend the slides with the engine running. if the battery is a little low, the relays may be reluctant to energize. my moho has 2 relays, one for the jacks and one for the slides.
the chassis battery operates my hwh system. the jacks suck 40 amps and the slides 20 amps on my moho. that is a lot of juice. my hwh system is grounded by the hose clamp that attaches the 2 relays to the motor . i added a ground wire to ground the relays and attached it to the welded on ground stud near the reservoir.

Thanks Dan. I want to check the wiring out, hopefully sometime later this week, especially the ground circuits and for squirrel damage, again If the ground circuits are like yours I'll also replace them. It sure looks like its going to be hard to get my head in there to look above the fluid tank -- maybe a mirror? Some of that wiring was repaired a couple of years ago because the squirrels chewed off insulation. My son helped with that. I'm hoping to capture him again.
