Interior upgrade progress
I have been busy updating the interior of the RV. I thought I would post a couple of teaser pics. I hope to complete the upgrade very soon.
Things that have been done or will soon do. - Painted the cabinets
- replaced the flooring
- painted the walls
- recovered the cushions
- replaced the jackknife sofa
- replaced the lighting with LED lights
- Replacing the blinds

Looking Great, love the floor, what is it, and what did you do around the doghouse? Would love to see pictures of that area.
Is that a floating floor or did you use any adhesive.
Great job, Safe travels

It is vinyl flooring,I got it at home Depot and it was a special buy so I got it about a third off. It was still pricier than I thought. About $50 a box. So far I am three boxes in.
Doghouse?

We put down vinyl plank flooring like pictured. Left the doghouse carpeted and just cut the flooring to fit around it.

Hello - It looks great!! Did you use a primer on the laminate cabinet boxes? I have all the cabinet doors off and have sanded those down. I was surprised to find as much laminate as I did when prepping the cabinet boxes. How many coats of paint did it take to cover? THank you.

Yes we lightly sanded and primered the cabinets and painted them with cabinet paint. We did two coats of paint. Time will tell how well it holds up.
The flooring is driving me batty, I am almost done but some of the hardest cuts are coming up. I did find that something on the slideout scratched one of the planks. I need to figure out what was doing that.

Any little piece of sand, pebble grit will scratch your vinyl. This is one of the downsides of a hard floor in the area covered by the slide. Even if you figure out what's causing it now, it's likely to happen again. I forget what it's called, but, under the front edge of your slide there's a long strip that runs on the floor. There are two types, one for carpet and one for hard floors. I believe the one for hard floors has a carpet-like face. This can be switched out but it's not going totally eliminate the risk.
There are commercially available floor protectors that you put down before you retract your slide or you can make your own. Unless the grit is exceptionally large, these should pretty much eliminate the risk.:
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=slide+out..._ts-doa-p_1_15
I've also seen where some owners lay down a hall runner before retracting the slide out.
We have a dog and my wife uses a wheelchair so there's no way our floor is going to stay grit free. This is why I chose commercial grade carpet tiles for my MH instead of vinyl or other hard surface.
Here are some links that may have other solutions:

Figured it out. There was a screw head on the bottom of the slide that wasn't holding anything. I ended up cutting off the screw head and using UHMW tape on the area that was scratching. Without the screwhead the slide in not near the flooring now

Looks really nice. That layout looks just like my 1998 Minnie 31WM. I just measured all the cabinetry today for future reference. All the cabinets have a vinyl type covering. Some of it has pulled loose, especially in the corners.
Are your cabinets the vinyl covering? Maybe newer ones are different...
Your kitchen and bath cabinets are the exact same layout as mine. Inspiring to see how a little paint and flooring can change the look so dramatically.

My Minnie is a 2003 31c so probably pretty similar.
I don't think it is vinyl covering. The doors aren't for sure. The cabinets are slick so we sanded and used a good primer on them. Time will tell how well that holds up.

I think they changed from the cheap wood look covering. It doesn't look like yours were that type. Hard to tell from pics though.
Anyway, you can paint the vinyl stuff, but it's a pain. I think when I get around to the inside this summer I'll just put on new doors and laminating covering on the cabinets. I can get a good price on that because my oldest has a business that purchases that stuff by the tractor trailer load.
Your interior looks as good or better than most new ones IMO.

OK, 4 days of solid work on the RV and made serious progress. Finished the wall painting in main room, finished the flooring, almost done with the quarter round trim, extended the slide platform for the sofa area, installed the sofa, and wife recovered the dinette cushions.
Still up to be done: Install new roller blinds, make new valances, paint the bedroom walls, finish the entry stair area, new curtains for the over cab bed area, and fabric cover the refrigerator panels.
I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am happy to share details on what we did specifically if anyone wants to know.
Pics for current progress and a couple of the starting place:

This is one of the reasons I love this forum. Everyone here is so willing to share their experiences around these topics that many of us run into. You guys killed it! It looks amazing and what a great tribute to these amazing coaches. Thanks for sharing. I took your advice and rouged up and primed the laminate boxes. It's eating a lot of paint but I think they will come out really great in the end. I will share pictures down the road once the project gets completed.

Those were there before with dead halogen bulbs. I found the LED equivalent for cars are brighter with less power usage. They are slightly larger that the previous bulbs.
