I will finish renovating my Winnebago...

This year I will finish renovating my Winnebago Ultimate Advantage 2000.

I started by adding a second gas generator, then renovating all the multimedia and satellite systems.

I added 1.2 kW of solar panels and a battery park of almost 1500 A. I replaced all the internal and external lights with LEDs.

Last year I replaced the carpet with the parquet.

This year I have overhauled the engine replacing radiator, air conditioning compressor and water pump. The old radiator was blocked with grease and dust. I had to put a new copper radiator and bring the engine exhaust into the exhaust pipe to avoid future problems. Then I also installed the steering damper and rearranged the whole roof.

Now I will replace the old Norcold 1220 LRIM refrigerator with a low consumption residential HVAC equivalent.

Last scheduled work: installation of shortwave (OM) radio station.

I spent a fair amount but now I find myself with an RV like new. I hope to go on for another twenty years.

When I take the vehicle to the annual overhaul and see it below they ask me if it is new from the factory.

I believe it, with all the anti-rust and zinc that I have given below it seems to have come out yesterday from the dealer.

But how much effort ...

OK! Here are some photos.

In fact I did more work than what I wrote.

Below, in order, comment:

1) Nautical battery park,
2) New dish washer,
3) New front and rear satellite TV, Dvd/Blue Ray Player with meteo weather station,
4) New inverter,
5) Second electric generator (LPG system),
6) Electric mirrors bus style,
7) New headlights from Mercedes truck,
8) New flooring similar to wood high resistance,
9) Washer dryer,
10) Body vehicle, totally white, for a better climate in the summer season.

Do you see those circular doors above the headlights?

I had them made to work on the headlights in case of problems.

If you find on the street and it rains well or there is snow, you cannot lie down to change a lamp. So every problem is easily solved...

...and dozens of other things still...

Regards!

Thanks to you! I follow the good old Navy rules.

A ship will have also its years but the brasses must always be shiny!

More the ship is in order more shots can fire!

You did a lot of work and it shows. I am wondering why you installed a second generator in addition to the solar panels you installed. What are you running requiring that much electricity?

Perhaps to power a Railgun DeTrafficator?

I live full-time in the motorhome and often have to disconnect from the power grid... and in summer and winter needed a lot of electricity. How do you feed the washer dryer and dishwasher? And many more things...

Unfortunately even with lithium batteries it's difficult to power the air conditioning all day (in summer). In addition to this, even if it were cheap (but it's not at all), do you trust to install tens of kW of lithium batteries on your RV? If a battery catches fire what do you do? Do you jump in the air with the RV?

It's a very shame that in 2020 we are still stuck to lead batteries, yet at present there are no viable alternatives at reasonable cost and in safety.

The fact is that for decades those idiots (sorry...) of ecologists have broken our heads with solar panels but have completely forgotten the batteries... here is the result!

We are like those who try to collect rainwater using giant funnels and then fill small useless bottles.

I have a nautical battery park, do my panels recharge the batteries on a sunny day and then what? All the rest of the current? Thrown away!

In short, the ideal for fulltimers would be a nuclear mini-reactor, but the Russians do not sell them and they are very too expensive!

Other solutions?

Exaggerated...

I don't expect much, but if I had the money would buy this RV below.

With that I would be quiet even in case of nuclear war.

Now we are so close...

One way to reduce your power consumption requirements on a Motorhome is to install a chemically-powered DeTrafficator, rather than the energy-hungry Rail Gun. Could this version of the DeTrafficator be our best option?

But certainly, very happy!

The problem is that for this month I have almost reached the credit card limit.

But if you make a bank transfer of $ 500,000 I will come right away and give you a hand!

You will see that a magnificent RV will come out!

And all at my expense!
