Hydrolic Oil reservoir.

We took our new Winnie 40' Journey on it's first shake down cruise. When we were leaving the auto jacks retracted appropriately BUT. The alarm continued to beep without stop. We eventually unplugged the sensor. I noticed a lot of oil at the top of the reservoir. The oil looked only to be down about 3/4 of an inch from the top. The picture is from the manual and is very close to the one in our coach. The cap which I "think" is the refill cap just spins and spins. I think a previous owner stripped out the cap. This would the the right hand cap in the photo. Does this cap snug like a normal cap? Replace the whole reservoir?
