I have purchased some maxxair vent covers to go over the fan mates in my 2017 vista 27n. The covers have slots that match up with tabs on the exterior of the existing fans but the tabs are covered with sealant (dicor?) Not sure if I should remove sealant from just the tabs and if so would I need to reseal anything? Hoping someone has done this. Thanks!

While I have not done this, it seems inevitable to me that you must remove the old sealant, install the covers, and then re-seal.
