As soon as I post this I am going out to my MH and remove my high level stop lite and try to purchase and replace it with an LED strip. I'll let you all know how I make out. BTW the reason for the replacement is that the lens is turning white and it looks like crap...

Must be the MH, I have the same problem and I've already replaced it once. Let me know what you find to replace it and where.

I had a 2003 Suncruiser and when I traded it after 16 months it was fading too. Let us know what you find. I'll bet there's lots of owners who would like to know.

I removed the strip and to my surprise it is LED, naturally it is marked "made in Taiwan" so to get to the mfg. would be a problem. I'm wondering if anything can be done to restore the lens to its original luster? What I did was to measure out the lite and now have a drawing to put in my wallet to go shopping with. The saga continues, as soon as I find something I will report...

High level lite?? what and where?
If you mean the center oblong stop light, Winnie makes a replacement which is the whole light at about $25.00. Don't know if just the lens is available or not. Good Miles

Hi guys here is just my 2 cents and please don't LOL. As a police officer my unit has that big light bar on the roof. well the sun hammers the lens on it and they fade fast. To keep my unit looking good I use a polish on it made just for the lexzan lenes. it is not that expensive and it really does do a good job. I use it about every 6 months and bar still looks like new.
you can get the polish at any police supply store or on line at http://www.galls.com .
just my 2 cents

This worked for me on my 99 DP Adventurer. Go to any automotive store and buy Mequires "paint cleaner" in the maroon bottle. Use a soft diaper or cloth and rub the lense with the cleaner and buff to shine. I did this several times using the cleaner then finished it with a coat of Mequires wax. I repeat the process every 6 months or so to keep it looking nice. This same process will work on faded headlights, turn signals or most any plastic.

Isn't what we're talking about the result of UV degradation? If so, why wouldn't 303 "Aerospace Protectant" or Armorall or any good "sunscreen" work? I just replaced my CHMSL with a new one (yep, about $25 at the Winnie dealer) and gave it a good coat of 303 which says "100% prevention of UV caused slow-fade with regular use", so will see.

While we are on the subject of lights I would like to ask this question to all of you: has anyone ever thought of or better yet installed those 12v. neon tube style lights under their coach for a great lighting effect? I know they are illegal to run on the road but they sure would look great at the CG and provide more lighting for boarding. You see them alot on the teenagers cars.
