Help - Rig won't stay level

Our motorhome is parked with the jacks extended BUT after about 5 days it goes out of level. The drivers side drops showing the level bubble all the way outside of center. I can even feel it when entering the rig.

Not sure where to begin my troubleshooting. Could it be that our hydraulic fluid is low or leaking?

We have a 05 Itasca Meridian P39K

Many thanks!!

Well, you're doing good so far. You know it's the front. I'd say it's not low because you wouldn't be able to get it level in the first place if that were the problem (and you would have probably gotten a notification that it was low)

Is it both sides?

Do you see fluid on the jack legs when they are extended or is there fluid in the base of the jack?If not your issue is likely a bad or leaking valve back into the reservoir.

I don't really know anything about my hydraulic system (I probably should) so i'm not going to be any help with a fix for you, but the more info you can get through troubleshooting the better you will be in woking on a fix.

What info do you have on hand for your jacks?
If you have the big folder of info from new, there is likely to be a manual for the jacks there. Meanwhile if you don't have info, do you know which system? Lippert and HWH are two common brands but there are lots of different models, so gathering as much info from looking at the faceplate or tags on the reservoir is one place to start. From there it is very likely you can access troubleshooting info on line.

The system is a fairly high tech thing and if not really into the mechanical world, it may just be best to let the pros do the repair as there are some real hazards with working with high pressure of this level.
But first, do collect and post up as much info as possible on the exact model and then we may be able to point to some help.
First guess might be that you do have a leak letting fluid go back into the reservoir.

I am guessing you have an HWH hydraulic system as we have a 2005 journey and that is what it has. As mentioned you need to identify the exact model number of you hwh system then if you do not have the manual that was orginally came in the big bag of manuals that came in the rig you can go to the hwh website and lookup your unit as they have both instructions and problem troubleshooting.

Thanks so much, I'll pull out my info. BTW it is the HWH system, but that's all I know right now. Just got home from a long work day so will post more info when I can

Your best bet is to PM azpete (Paul Maddox). Paul is an Winnieowner and an HWH employee who's helped out me and other Winnieowners with HWH problems.

You can wait for AZpete to reply or call HWH and ask them if they KNOW replacing the shuttle valve is your problem; or if you have an individual jack problem.

My guess is that one or more of your 5/8" caps are just loose and with not much more torque you will be back in business.

...And it's probably a good time to verify you have no leaks and enough fluid in your reservoir.

You can search for Shuttle Valve and find more information. I just replaced my shuttle valve last month; and my 2004 Itasca "Horizon" 40AD had ~108,000 miles.

I had that problem with my last motorhome. It was a hydraulic leak which showed up in the underside compartment near a hose joint. There was a very fine sheen on the floor of the pass-through which wasn't immediately visible. I had to reach way in to feel it (gasser with the passthrough over the chassis rails). The jack itself never had any fluid leakage. It was apparently a very fine leak and would take several days to leak down.
