I need to fill up the hydraulic oil on my 2000 Chieftain and apparently, my owners manual doesn't:
(A) Tell me which type of oil to use &
(B) Which valve controls which jack.
The Winnebago tech on the phone said that each valve is labeled which they are, but everything is faded and I can't read it.
I'm kind of stuck because I can't get my passenger rear jack to move and the "jacks down" alert are constantly sounding. The reservoir is a little low on oil so I'm hoping that filling it up will get it moving.
Just fyi, I've found I can get a qt of HWH Hydraulic Oil for under $6 at my local RV dealer. Might be worth checking locally before paying shipping, etc. by mail.
I have the same vehicle(just bought it in May)...and am having the exact same issue. Luckily a shop was able to force it up with a 2x4.
Since we have the same year make and model perhaps, if you tell me where to look, mine might still be marked. I can let you know, maybe even take a picture for you

The HWH system in my MH calls in type A transmission fluid, however different systems and years call in different fluids.Contact HWH, they are the authority.
If the sytem is low on fluid, after you add to the full mark, cycle the jacks 6-7 times to purge any air from the system, that's the only method. Check fluid with jacks fully retracted/stored, the hyd slides do not matter as they are double-acting cylinders-fluid on both sides of the piston.
