Added a Fumoto during my first oil change on my '09 Sightseer. What an unholy mess to change the oil! Both the oil plug and the oil filter drop oil right onto the suspension. The valve will fix the main problem. I'm open to suggestions on how to make the filter change go cleanly.

I contacted Fumoto Engineering and they suggested that I measure the drain diameters of C7 engine drain and 7500 Onan drain in order to get the correct part numbers. Does anyone know what these part numbers might be before I make a measurement?

I installed one on my Dodge back in 1979 and never had a problem with it. My son has the truck now and still uses it. I just got one for my RV last week that has the nipple for attaching a hose. I am a satisified customer of 30 years.

Punch a hole in the bottom side and let it drain independently, before removing.

That was what I was thinking I might do, but I like the idea of wrapping a baggie around it.

Installing valve while oil is still in pan
I just installed a Fumoto valve in the MH. Per a suggestion from someone else on this sight, I installed it before I started to change the oil. I connected a shop vac to the oil inlet in the rear of the MH. Just make sure you have a good connection by using a rag to seal off the shop vac hose and oil inlet. Had the wife hold the shop vac in place while I un-screwd the original drain plug and installed the Fumoto valve. Had the old out and new in within a minute and not a drop of oil spilled. I was concerned I would suck oil out the top with the shop vac but not a drop there either.

Where in the world did you come up with that idea? Glad it worked, would never have thought of doing that.
