Freightliner rear hub cap retaining bolt

I need a rear hub cap retaining bolt for my rear aluminum wheel. It's the one that's black with the Freightliner logo in white. Can anyone tell me where to purchase this item. I've searched Freightliner web sites, but no luck finding. Thanks.

I saw them for sale at the FL service center in Gaffney. They sell the tool to remove and replace them. Maybe give 1.800.FTL HELP and they can tell you where to look.

Any Freightliner parts department can order one. They are about $35. Buy the tool to remove it and check them occasionally to keep them tight. The one on the passenger side has right handed threads and the driver side is left handed, so you order it for a specific side.

Not necessarily, our coach has the "normal" right handed threads on both the left and right sides of the coach. Easy enough to check, just insert an appropriate sized bolt and try tighten it, if it doesn't tighten, it's probably left handed.

I bought ours at FL Gaffney because the old ones were corroded from salt, the tool is handy.

My 2001.5 Discovery also has right hand threads on both the driver and passenger sides.

Yep, Freightliner sells them. $31 each. Driver side and passenger side are both right hand threads on my unit. Be careful when ordering. Freightliner will order left hand thread for driver side unless you tell them differently.
