Foot pads

Hello all! I'm wondering if anyone here has removed the foot pads from the hydraulic levelers? I thought there would be a bolt on the bottom but no such luck. It's 2017 Vista LX. I bent two of the pads by not looking before putting them down and want to either straighten them or replace them.

Try extending them on a hard level surface and see if they straighten out. On ours, they’re are designed to land on uneven surfaces, as they will “tilt” with the landing area.

On the current RV, I have not had them off but the "book" shows to just snap them on when installing.
Previous RV did just snap off at one point when frozen to the ground and we retracted.
But there are different brands and might vary?

Kind of like a press fit? Put the new one under the jack and lower it into the hole?

Yes, that is what we did to get it back on. The top of the "rubber" at the sides is tapered and as the weight get heavy the sides slide out/ expand and it snaps on? Can't remember the name, though and there are different ones. If you use some big plier or wrench you might be able to pry the side out to see if it has a groove kind of like the old beer bottle caps except rubbery?

I think you're talking about two different things.

OP bent the foot of his jack and needs to remove it to r/r, Richard is referring to snap pads.

Yes, I see your point and communications is a tricky thing, so which is it you are wanting to remove the metal "foot" or the pad on the foot?
I would assume a really big pipe wrench like a 48" would straighten the metal if bent once the rubber is out of the way.

But which is the question?

I'm talking about the round disc, metal plate that contacts the ground. I tried pounding it flat with a 5 lb hammer but it didn't budge. Can't get a good swing while it's still on the leg.

12 ton hydraulic press didn't bend a friend's.

Hydraulic press and oxyacetylene torch did.

Curious if you’ve tried what I mentioned above, about lowering the jacks on a flat level hard surface and raising the RV up and see if that straightens the pads?
