The new windshield was installed. Rust cracked the windshield. I can not determine where the water came from to cause the rust. The installed did a good grinding job and wire brushed the pits and used a special primer so the automotive urethane would adhere. The installer put a heavy bead of urethane so not expecting any leaks. Photos below:
