Factory service

I understand factory has a “stand by” wait where one may not have appt for service.

Has anyone tried this without appt at factory?
How long did you have to wait for service with no appt?

This is openly promoted but a dealer states they do walk ins.

Any info is appreciated.

Yes, call Forest City to confirm. Show up early (get in line before they open the office at 7AM). In my opinion, if you can get to Forest City, it is a good option. Plan on spending the day, the waiting area has big screen TV, beverages, rest rooms etc. (There isn't much to do in the area. If you have a toad, tour some of the smaller towns and cities in the area. Diamond Jos Casino is about 30 min N on 35). Via 2 or 3 visits to Forest City, I was able to get various issues with my new 31D resolved - 1 or 2 times without an appointment.

The transfer switch failed on my 31D and I just happened to be in Iowa. They took me right in and had a new one installed at no charge and out the door in about an hour.

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping somebody could confirm their no appt experience.

Now if only the distance was much less than from Florida .
