My friend is looking for the Diagnostic connector on his 04' Journey (36G). Mine is right under the dash in clear view, but he says he has been all over the dash, both under and with the lid off. Was it removed or relocated in the 04's? He is about to drive the coach home from Az. and would like to plug in his VMS to watch things.

Thanks, Jeff

On my '02, it is mounted on the bulkhead, left side of the steering column, behind a bunch or wire bundles. I had to cut wire ties and "un-bundle" a lot of those wires, to find it. It is a couple of inches off the floor, on that bulkhead, and if I remember correctly, it had a plastic cap covering it.

My guess is his '04 is about in that same place.

On our '02 U/A it is under the left foot rest. You have to remove the foot rest to access it.

It's mounted under the dash to the front of the firewall with two sheet metal screws pointing downward. About 6 inches off the floor. It's very hard to find behind all the wiring harnesses. It's to the left of the steering column. I took mine off the firewall and the wiring will reach back to where it can be reached to plug into. I believe I took the carpeted kick plate mounted on the floor off to get more room to reach the firewall. Good Luck..

On my coach there is a second (round) connector at the rear of the coach above the radiator. Easy access point.

Tnx-- Even knowing where to look it is a bear--

Left lots of blood and tissue samples behind but I finally got to it.

Great, glad you were able to find it. It's a great tool to monitor the engine.
