I joined this forum specifically to search for an answer to this issue with my 99 F53 Winnie. It's draining the chassis battery in about a week of sitting. The PO installed a radio (that won't turn on no matter how the radio power selector is set), and the house battery MOM to start the engine didn't work when attempted. House batteries are full and charging with the genny as expected. The volt meter on the chassis is showing that all is well there. She's at the chassis shop now getting a once over and I've asked them to check the chassis charging system for a vampire draw or some reason that the alternator isn't charging the starting battery. If there's no issues found, I'll look into some of the solutions you all have posted here (BIM, disconnect, trickle charger, etc)

We used to have this problem with our 2006 Hurricane... and it had a nice feature which was a switch for turning coach batts on/off as well as a switch for turning chassis batt on/off. I wish my Vista had both switches.

In any event, we learned the value of a maintenance charger and it is used regularly in our Vista... which is conveniently located alongside the stick/bricks house. Have not had a dead chassis batt since.
