Heading down the road yesterday enroute to my quarterly visit to the stick house, I glanced at the rearview mirror and saw the bedroom emergency escape window flapping in the air stream. After parking the rig and inspecting the window the problem is that the glue/epoxy that holds the glass to the metal opening mechanism has failed. Can anybody recommend a product that I can repair this problem with. It's a 120 mile round trip to the "local" dealer who I have absolutley ZERO CONFIDENCE in but that's another posting someday. Thanks

Any auto glass shop should be able to fix it the right way

I would check with a local glass shop for their recommendation.
I also have a 38R and I'll check my escape window for failing glue.

It's attached the same as review mirros are in GM cars. A rearview mirror mount repair kit from any auto store (i.e. glass cement) should do the trick.

Ol'Joe;
I checked my '05 38R this weekend and my emergency bedroom window was OK. But, I'll be checking it occasionally. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the tips guys. I should have thought of both of those solutions myself. I'm glad y'all are here. I get so hung up on my lousy dealer that I forget there are sometimes easier avenues to travel down. I guess that's what this forum is for, huh? Well, I was out of internet range for a couple of days because of work. Didn't want to pick your brains without saying thanks, I appreciate the help!
