Driver's Seat Controls Not Working

If anyone has had this problem or knows what I can look for, I'd appreciate it. My driver's seat has buttons to raise, lower, bring seat forward, backward, etc. After arriving at a campground, I started moving the seat so I could turn it around and use it in the "living room". The controls worked for a bit, and then stopped working completely. I'm wondering if it could be a fuse and where I might find this fuse? Or any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you look under the seat to see if the wiring was disconnected during movement. My coach seats have electrical disconnects under the seats for the wiring.

lovethemgray-

Had the same problem on my 08 adventure limited, ufo chassis. found the breaker tripped.
The cause of the breaker tripping was that wiring under the drivers seat was crimpted and shorting out. Mine was stuck in the backwards position. Had to work the wiring back and forth to finally get rid of the shorted wiring then reset the breaker. I tie wraped the wiring harness up out of the way of the seat movement.
Good luck.

Had the same issue in my Vectra. The circuit breaker was popped and wouldn't reset. There was a short in the line. Neither seat moved - both are on the same breaker.

Ditto that....

Check the connections underneath....they come loose when you swivel the seat

good one!

What? Nationals don't have power seats?

or are they "hardwired"?

I considered "soldering the connections, but thought bettter of it if I ever needed to remove the seat for acess or service.

Yea Nationals do have connectors on the power seat and although I haven't pinched the wires I do blow the fuse if I press the button while in one of the stops.

I just couldn't resist the cheap shot.

Dick,

I can take as well as I give...

And I LOVE dry humor and "cheap shots"!

I had the problem a couple of times. Both times it turned out that I had swiveled the seat too many times and the plug came out.
