Drain fresh water?

Finally figured out how to introduce diluted bleach solution to fresh water tank. Wondering if anyone has an Itasca Spirit. I open my fresh water drain and it’s really slow, it comes down on top of the grey water tank and spills all over the back. Wonder if I have a kinked hose up under so it drains on top of tank instead of clear? How should the fresh water drain work?
