The roof top system is a hermetic (sealed system). The only thing that you can normally lube is the fan motor bearings. But those normally lubed for life oilite bronze bearings.
The compressor has a specific amount of oil charge in before the refrigerant charge is added and the system sealed.
A lot of folks that are not knowledgable in A/C will immediately say that it is low on "Freon" when 90% of the problems are not low on refrigerant (Freon). Most of the problems with an RV A/C unit are related to air flow due to dirty filters, dirty evaporator coil or leaks between the inlet and outlet side of the unit.
Sometimes you will get a refrigerant leak due to vibration or a line rubbing, but that is not the normal.
