Cummins 6.7L Fuel Filter Brand

I’m shopping for a fuel filter for my 2016 Journey. The engine is an ISB6.7 Cummins B101. The engine owner’s manual specifies a Cummins 5304214 or Fleetguard FF63008. There are some less expensive brands that advertise being replacements for the FF63008. One is a iFJF FF63009 and another is a VEDURME FF63009. I posted a URL below where you can see what Amazon is selling.

I’m reticent to purchase a brand that is different than the specified brand and am wondering if others have purchased these cheaper brands and if you’ve had any problems resulting from not using the specified brand?

Thanks for the reply Our ride. What is it that causes the junk filters to be interior to Fleetguard filters?

Having been in diesel fuel injection since 1971, I recommend getting the best fuel filter available to fully protect the expensive and precision components of your fuel system. The Cummins Fleetguard line of filters provide excellent protection, and using the Cummins original equipment manufacturer's recommended filter is a way to continually protect your fuel system from contamination if you change them at the recommended interval or before.

The Cummins you list is the only filter I use, anything else and you are risking damage. Also be aware of look alike filters on places lie Amazon. I recently saw a couple there that looked really close but the description said somethin like replacement for your filter with similsr lettering and numbers.

I use the WIX 33255 on my Dodge truck with the 6.7, the NAPA Gold fuel filter. Have never had an issue and it's as good or better than the Fleetguard.
