Chipmunk in the window

My driver's side sliding window has developed a squeak over bumpy roads that sounds like an angry chipmunk is sitting next to me. Can anyone recommend the correct lubricant or solution that can be applied around the frame to shut the little critter up?

Since it's a brand new coach I'd have the dealer tend to the 'littl' critter'. If it's squeaking there may be something loose in there.

Thanks, but my experiences with my local dealer has been so bad (drop it off, it'll sit in our yard for 2 to 3 weeks, and maybe then we'll find someone with an IQ larger than their shoe size to look at it), I would rather take care of a small issue like this myself. I might try a little dry lube and see if that helps.

Mine squeaked too and it was the screen. I just push it closed extra firmly and squeak was gone.

My driver's side screen squeaks also. I have to wedge a little piece of cardboard in the thing until I can come up with a better fix.

I haven't had my coach long enough for it to be able to develop a screen squeek as it is still at the dealer for various repairs. I took it in Jan 15th and will hopfully be getting it back next week. Maybe you could remove the screen and tweak it just enough so that it fits a liitle more snug, then reinstall.

Cardboard sounds like a good fix! Mine rattles, but I haven't gotten that far yet (only 1 trip in the new coach so far).

Off to Florida in 4 weeks. This will be the real shakedown cruise.

Mine has a squeaky, rubby, sound of some sort by the driver's side and I just assumed it was the slideout rubbing against the side of the coach. I've tried lubricating the rubber, waxing the side of the coach, and looking for anyplace that might be rubbing agains paint but can't find any specific place so far. Sometimes its worse than others so can't tell if I've done any good with my fixes or not. Definitely agree taking it back to the dealer is a massive no-no. They can't fix major problems that can be pointed out to them let alone something they would actually have to look for. Happy hunting.

Gary....Try a little Pam cooking spray. It won't harm anything and you can clean up any overspray. It is also convenient and usually in your cupboard.

If you wish to lubricate the tracks for the windows, I think you will find that spray silicone is the recommended lube for that purpose. You may also want to check to make sure that the felt tracks are fully seated in the channels.

For the screen rattle, try putting on a few of the stick on round felt pads like the ones used on the overhead cabinet doors. Worked for me.
