Chime

I have a chime that goes off when cruising down the road at say 50 to 65. All the gauges read fine, nothing noticeable. It is a soft chime like leaving lights on with key off. I get ding ding, the 20 seconds later the same ding ding. I don't hear it again for maybe an hour or more.

Any ideas

Check your leveling jacks you might have one that is not all the way retracted. I will get a chime on mine when that happens.

I've had that chime before actually going thru Atlanta, really gets your attention. Actually this chime is like that but softer. Thanks for the help.

Does it happen around lunch or dinner time?

Most likely a 'jacks down' alarm from you HWH system.

I'm pretty confident it isn't "jacks down" alarm, because in my journey that chime is much louder and I have a light on the dash that comes on also.

Thanks

That would be a great chime ! But I don't think so.
It's not really that disturbing, I'd just like to know what it is.
It has done it for over a year, it just seems to be getting more frequent.

Yes I've heard that chime before, but it does it even with GPS off.

Thanks

It sounds like something that needs batteries, maybe unrelated to the RV systems.

Cell phone?

Is the passenger seat belt fully retracted?

Door ajar alarm. Have someone pull inward as soon as you hear it, then have them carefully push outward or even open the door and see if it comes back on. Or, if it is not chiming, have them push outward on the door. I remember cars having a light that shows or says Door Ajar.

Don't think it seat belt because it does it with a passenger or not. Don't think it's engine cover as it's a diesel pusher. I'm going to check
out that door alarm. All good ideas thanks again.

Why would being a DP have anything to do with it not being an engine cover?
I wasn't talking about a front engine cover. I Googled your rig first.

The only engine cover I have is the bed, and not getting alarms in there for a long long time. Guess I don't understand.

Don't you have a door on the very back, where your engine is?

Looked all over that "door" and there is nothing electrical that would trigger a chime.

Thanks

Guess I'm going to wait till it's constant, because you know it would never do it when going in for service.
