Central Air for a 2003 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom

Does anybody know where we can purchase a complete air/heat pump or a compressor for this unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, what would be the replacement cost be?
Thank you for your help.

I believe you can get a drop in new unit from rvcomfort. Have been told only for 50amp coaches.

Why the whole unit? The start cap often go and are replaceable. Compressors or reversing valve trouble?

Well have you had it looked at? What exactly is wrong with it. Maybe it just needs a good old cleaning of the cooling fins. Have you replaced the inlet air filters lately? Have you checked the breakers to ensure they are not tripping? Does it work on the generator and not on shore power?
So man questions with so, wait a minute, NO ANSWERS. We need more information to give you better advice.

Well
My dealer decided to install a new unit, later he found out that the extended warranty will only pay to replace the compressor, approx, $ 600.00.
Now he wants me to pay $1500.00.or he will repair the old AC and send the new ac back.

Since the original AC is 10 Years old , I decided to pay the $1500.00 and keep the new AC unit.

Thanks for all the help
Gene

Gene: That sounds like a real bargain for a complete new unit. Hopefully this will solve your problems for the long term.

If your dealer is willing to do a complete replacement for $2,100.00, PLEASE get the manufacturer's name & model number of the replacement unit and post it for the rest of us. I had heard that the new units Coleman / RVP designed after the EPA mandated the "Freon" change were more expensive and had larger compressors which required the coach be equipped with 50 amp service.

Our basement A/C began cooling at a reduced rate and was only drawing 13A, which meant the 2nd compressor was not coming on, or it will draw 26A with both operating. Anyway, I found a corroded connection at the compressor, cleaned it up, replaced it, and the unit began cooling normally, with a cold air output measuring 43*F at bedroom ceiling duct.
