Carefree Awning Pitch Pin missing

I noticed today the adjustment pitch pin head was missing on one of the the awning arms and the other appears to be misaligned just enough to prevent it from fully engaging the hole in the arm. I do not see any obvious way to fix this other than by just making a small hitch pin out of a bolt on the side that is missing and readjusting as needed to a different pitch when it rains. Am I missing something obvious ? With the head of the pushpin being rounded, are they designed to allow the arm to force them back into the pressed position if there is downward force on the awning arm or do they truly lock in place ?

Since you have a similar unit to mine, I presume it is the Carefree Travel'r awning. The pitch pin is a part that can be purchased if you prefer to have the pitch to lock using the Valco spring button versus hitch pin.

This is the manual on my Travel'r: https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/d...ice-Manual.pdf
Page 9 contains the detail on the pitch pin replacement.

The round top of the pitch pin is to aide in the retraction of the pin for adjustment. A pin in good condition will have full extension to "pin" the arm into position.

Yeah, I'm fresh from looking for a part for mine; the Traction's part was missing from one end of my awning (unbeknownst to me and apparently from the factory that way). I found my parts via eBay and did a quick search for the Carefree pin kit (p#R001801) and resulted to an ebay seller but he is a bit expensive in my opinion: https://www.ebay.com/itm/RV-CAREFREE...4AAOSwJj9cbooL
