Break-in @ Mercedes

Hi,
New 2020 Vita, bought in AZ, on its first long trip Had start issue after each refueling stop (had to wait 10-15 minutes after filling Sprinter to be able to restart engine)
Took it to Mercedes-Benz dealer in WA, they had it for a week, issue was a transmission sensor. Under warranty

Here's the question - the rig was parked on the service lot & was broken into, all bay doors & entry door pried open, clothing and food items stolen from interior. Ignition damaged as they tried to get it started Police report filed.
Needless to say, we were pretty upset. Dealer manager says they are not responsible, says to file with insurance. Shouldn't Mercedes business insurance cover this? Will have to take to Winnebago for coach repairs. Happened over 9 days ago. Anyone with any experience with something like this? Rig is still at Mercedes, secured.

Your insurance company would know, because they'd make a claim against the dealer's insurance, but I suspect your dealer is correct. They probably don't have liability for the criminal acts of others.

Assuming this dealer was in Seattle this is not surprising. Seattle caters to the lawless homeless population which can do practically whatever they want without consequence. The suburbs are okay, but you should stay out of Seattle at all cost. This was before the current protests.

Thank you! Sigh.
It's Tacoma. Part of my issue is their seeming lack of concern. It's like having your home broken into.

Parts of Tacoma are bad too. I was at a small GMC dealer there where they were complaining about homeless breaking into their trucks to sleep for the night.

Sorry that the dealer doesn't seem to care.
