Better lock on door
I have a 2014 winnebago Minnie and like to make the door more secure any recommendation.

Jonnypip, do you not have a dead bolt in the entrance door locking unit? I added a couple of barrel bolt latches to the front doors of the first class C we had.

What's wrong with the locks already installed? If a thief wants in they will just break a window to get in anyway.
If I was worried about break ins I would install an alarm system.

Looksmith hard our door unlocked in 5 minutes last night. Don't ask me why?
Glad he got us in so quickly cause it was cold. But makes ya think. No need to break a window and strain yourself breaking in. Pick set - some sort of spray - done. An alarm is probably a good idea. Not on my list.

It might be RVM#2 if you keep chasing that warmer weather and end up wintering in Mexico....

No lock on these aluminum doors will stop any intruder with a screwdriver. Either the door pops open or the dead bolt pulls away from the strike plate. Either way, $$$$ damage to the RV. One did our fifth wheel in our driveway, cost $500 for a door with shipping and about 5 hours of my time. We don't lock our door when unoccupied, Glock locks it when we are inside. Locks keep honest people honest.

When we were at MCD in McKinney, TX getting new shades our neighbor in a Pace Arrow locked himself out of his coach. I unlocked his driver's door with the keys to our Tiffin Allegro Open Road.

Our solution is a trained attack cat when we are away and a Ruger 380CT when occupied. In over 40 years of camping have never had a problem except when the unit was in storage for the winter and 7 other units got hit also broke door window and entered, was a lot cheaper to replace the glass than the door if it was damaged. As near as we could tell nothing was taken from our unit, others were not so lucky. Oh and this was on a dealers secured storage lock with cameras and still had a problem. They showed up on film doing the damage. Things happen in life and sometimes you just have to take a few precautions and hope everything is going to be fine. I am more concerned about the storage bays ease of entry than the entry door.

Honest people always think the door is the only way in. Experienced bad guys prefer to take out a window.

Better lock on door
Never had a breakin. Not my MHs nor even the many tents or popups. Grills, etc are on the table. Nuthin ever got took!
But a good dead-bolt lock is a comfort. They are not difficult to install.
Either lucky or good choice of parks.
If an alarm goes off and no body is listening, does it make a sound?
If you leave for a few days and alarm the coach, if it goes off, who breaks in to shut it off or bash it with a hammer?
If you have cameras and give the video to the cops, would they have the manpower to care?
If you fail to make a left toin in Albakoikie, is Who still on first?
