Bad Main Slide -2015 Forza 38R

2015 Winnebago Forza 38R

Main slide doesn’t work. Extends about 6 inches and stops. Eventually, it will retract.

Taken to local RV repair, twice. First they replaced a motor. Then they” cleaned the tracks”.

The slide worked at the repair shop but never works for me. I’m out of ideas and the only place I can think that could properly repair is at factory service in FC. Except, I’m in CA and so that is a long way to go for a slide repair.

The original schwintek motors were replaced with power glide by FC, and worked great until ~6 months ago.

Any suggestions?

When it stops, is it at an angle? Are you aware of recommended practice of holding the switch for a few seconds when fully in or out?
This is the way the motors are designed to keep in sycn and if not done, the two motors will often let one get ahead of the other and bind.
More specifics on what is happening when it "doesn't work" will help as there can be lots of ways things don't work.

Small points like if you have set the jacks and leveled first, do you run the engine while doing slides and jacks to keep good power, etc. etc. can often be an easy fix, so letting the readers know more about what is going on will make things go quicker.

We have a Winnebago Forza 34t
Drivers side rear slide rack is chewed up and binding, jumping and making noise. I ordered a couple of new racks and gears and watched Lippert’s generic video on changing them, pretty straight forward and easy.
They say to first remove the motor (their video shows accessing from the side) but I don’t see how to access the motor on the Forza

Anyone done this?
