Marc5106-

First off, welcome to winnieowners!

Second, you should add a signature to your user profile. It usually includes the year, make and model of your coach, but can include other information. A signature is appended to each post. To create/edit a signature, click on the "User CP" link in the orange bar at the top, then click on "Edit Signature."

Winnebago has a lot of information online. A place to start is:

Winnebago Product Information

From there you can download the operator's manual for your coach (link here). On page 6-10 it shows the trailer hitch connector. According to the drawing there, there are only the three "standard" signals and ground:

Left turn/stop
Right turn/stop
Tail Lights
Ground

You can also download the wiring diagram set for your coach (link here). Looking at Sheet 2 (page 3) of the Automotive Lamps Wiring Diagram (link here), you'll see that there is actually a fourth signal on the hitch connector:

Backup (Reverse) on pin A

Note that the "active" wires on the connector are the same whether your coach is built on a Ford or a Workhorse chassis, per that sheet.

These two sources imply that the hitch connector did not have

1) A trailer electric brake controller signal wire or
2) A 12V charge line wire

as it came from the factory.

Of course, in the 15 years since your coach was made someone could have modified the wiring to the hitch connector.

Which signal do you expect to find on pin 2?
