Air Horn Recommendation.

I traded my diesel Winnebago for a gasoline Itasca and have been missing the LOUD air horns. Anyone have a recommendation for either electric or self contained air horns that could be installed behind the front grille? I'm thinking I'll add a separate push button switch on the dash so the original Ford horn remains usable also.

I'd like a recommendation on a brand, specific model you have and a good source to order the horn package. Thanks in advance!

I do not have a recommendation for a louder horn however I do have another option on the set up. Both the electric and air horns work on the horn button located on my steering wheel. There is a toggle switch on my Dash that will turn off the air horn allowing just the electric horn to work. When the switch is in the on position both the electric and air horn work in unison.

I owned a 2003 Winnebago Chieftain gas coach and it had Hadley air horns. Try this link Hadley Air Horns

Hopefully it will work.

Wow! Over $450 to pass some gas and make some noise?

My electric bugle horn was not working when I bought my coach. It was a factory install. I replaced it with this one. It was a good price and it's very loud. No complaints. I also have the electric inside the lower grill.

Google 'Train Horns'.. You will need to add a storage tank and air compressor to have 'air horns,.

I put Harbor Freight 2 Tone Air Horns on my Winnebago Vista roof above the driver's side right behind the front cap seam. Sound good and priced quite reasonable. I was not looking for bling and these are not, the air horns are plastic. I painted the horns to match the RV paint to make them last longer and blend in with the RV front cap.

They come with mounting hardware, a matched electric air pump, air tubing, and a 40 Amp Relay. No air tank required. Just feed 12 volts thru the relay with a 40 Amp Fuse and use 8 GA wire. The coil on the relay is energized with 12 volts thru a horn button to activate the relay and sound the horns. The current thru the horn button is well under 1 amp so lighter GA wire can be used.

The sound is instant, as soon as you push the button the 12V air pump delivers air to the horns, and the stop of sound is instant when you let go of the button so you can do short chirps when needed.
