Has anyone added an exterior keypad to their keyless entry system? I would like to have a means to open the coach in case the keys or fobs are locked into the coach.

I think you'll need to contact the manufacturer of the keyless entry system and see if there is the capability to add a keypad to the system. Can the door be opened with a regular key? There's many places you could stick a "Hide-a-Key" magnetic box under an RV. (The LP gas compartment is usually not locked, the Hide-a-Key could go on top or side of the LP tank)

Contact Winnebago with your SN and Vin number. Ask them if the required wiring bundle is installed in your unit. If there is no harness its probably not really possible.

I purchased mine from TriMark. They are good to work with. I bought the outside light/grab bar with the keypad built in. Love it. Make sure you also buy the cable that runs to the control box in the front drivers side compartment. Plug and play, very simple install. Cant believe Winne doesn't include this on new coaches!

Also, I learned through life the hard way. Buy a cheap magnetic key box and hide it outside underneath the coach. You never know when a power failure or some strange quirk might render any electronic lock to not operate. I've never had to use mine on the coach but have a few times with my cars. Be prepared!

Glad to have found this thread. I've wanted a keypad entry on my 2014 Tour from day 1. Had it on my previous coach and miss it. I'll check with Tri Mark about getting that entry handle. My OEM keyless entry has stopped working. Neither the key fob nor the switch on the dash will operate it. I'm assuming it's the solonoid inside the door, but don't know how to get to it. Can anyone tell me how or point me to a diagram or parts breakdown of the door? It's 150 miles to the closest dealer, so Im not anxious to go that route. If I've got to open up the door anyway, that seems a perfect time to add the keypad handle.
