Not sure what type knob but for a hammerhead but easy fix on stove knobs, I go for silicone after making a hole in the shaft for the silicone to get a good grip and then push silicone into the hole and knob before putting it back on. Once the silicone sets up and is down in the hole and the knob, they stay quite well!
Works in college kid rentals, so should last forever in an RV???
